No tools are required to setup this kit.   For permanent installs, we do recommend using a wrench to tighten the bolt of the cross-base.  If you have no access to a wrench, then you can tighten the bolt by hand. Store cross-bases away from other components of this kit.  The weight of the cross-base can damage the flag and or poles. Always collapse the cross-base before storing.  We recommend taking it apart so the cylinder is separated from the plates. If you are using this kit outside, we would advise additional weighted support  on the cross-base in case of high winds or gusts. When taking apart the poles, do not twist or bend.  Pull straight up to separate or hold horizontally and pull outwards.
